Mandatory Registration, Recognition, Accreditation and Directive

This official communiqué is to all players, teams, associations, tournament organizers, clubs, gaming centers, corporate partners, and all other stakeholders operating within the Esports ecosystem in Ghana.The Ghana Esports Federation (GESF), is the recognized national federation for the promotion and governing of electronic sports in Ghana, national regulatory authority.

As part of ongoing efforts to structure, formalize, and strengthen the Esports industry in Ghana, all stakeholders are hereby invited to register with GESF with immediate effect. This is mandatory and is aimed at ensuring proper recognition, accreditation, and authorization to operate within the national Esports framework.

For teams, associations Esports Media, and organized entities, registration will serve as the basis for official accreditation and the granting of mandates to operate in the space, as well as monitoring, evaluation and assessment purposes. This process is designed to a properly structured ecosystem; foster standardization of operations, and align all activities with national sports governance, principles and international best practices. It will further ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements established by GESF and relevant national authorities.

To complete the registration process, stakeholders are required to submit basic documentation and information, including but not limited to valid entity registration documents, governance and management structure details, and other relevant information as may be requested by GESF during the review process. Registration can be completed via the official website.


All stakeholders are directed to treat this notice as urgent and to comply within the stipulated period. Please be advised that sanctions will be imposed on non-compliant individuals, teams, or entities. Such sanctions may include withdrawal of recognition, disqualification from officially sanctioned events, suspension of operational privileges, and other regulatory measures deemed appropriate by GESF.

The Ghanaian Esports ecosystem is entering a new phase of structured development, credibility, international competitiveness and diplomacy. Cooperation and compliance from all stakeholders are essential to achieving a unified, professionally governed, and globally aligned industry.
