Ghana’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has pledged its support to the Ghana Esports Federation (GESF)

Ghana’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has pledged its support to the Ghana Esports Federation (GESF) in its efforts to identify and develop youth potential.

The GESF, as the exclusive regulating organization of Esports in Ghana, is dedicated to fostering potential among the youth while also creating job opportunities. Speaking at the press launch, Eric Mensah Bonsu, a representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, commended the Ghana Esports Federation for expanding the sports and assured them of the Ministry’s support. Mr. Eric Mensah Bonsu believes that Esports offers young people in the country an avenue to develop their talents and pursue professional careers. “As you continue to develop the sport, we encourage you to work diligently and ensure that you have the best interests of Ghanaians, especially the youth, at heart, enabling them to develop their talents and secure professional opportunities in Esports,” Mr. Eric Mensah Bonsu stated at the press launch. Additionally, the Ministry has directed the Ghana Esports Federation to engage and cultivate the interest of the youth in esports.
