The Ghana Esports Federation successfully hosted the second edition of the Phygital Basketball Tournament, where 16 phygital basketball teams competed in an exciting display of digital and physical excellence.
The continued success of the Federation in organizing credible and competitive tournaments proves that, with increased support from the Government and the entire phygital community, this new hybrid sport will go very far.
Out of the 16 teams, only one emerged victorious. DC Crushers, in their first appearance, made a remarkable impact by winning the tournament. The President of the Ghana Esports Federation, Igor Boumekpo, said he was not surprised by their victory. According to him, they showed quality from the very beginning. In a competition like phygital, only teams with full focus, determination, and discipline can win and DC Crushers truly deserved it.
To the fans, partners, and the Government Ayekooo for the overwhelming support. We could not have done it without you.
To all the teams who participated in the tournament, thank you for showcasing your skills, passion, and willingness to compete. As we continue organizing tournaments, we will keep improving in all areas to make phygital the number one sport in Ghana.
